PEM-L

About this project

The Phil-Econ-Model-Lab (PEM-L) is a project funded by the ‘Frontiers of Philosophy of Economics’ grant by the International Network of Economic Methodology (INEM). We offer a novel workshop format that is intended to foster international collaboration among early-career economists and philosophers of economics.

  • International Network for Economic Method (https://econmethod.org)
  • Europa-Universität Flensburg
  • Universität Hannover

Selection process and jury

Submissions to our call for applications will be pre-screened by the project coordinators (see above). A short-list will subsequently be deferred to senior scholars of the field. We are thankful the following scholars have agreed to be members of this jury:

  • Magdalena Małecka (University of Aarhus)
  • Melissa Vergara Fernández (University of Groningen)
  • Claudius Graebner-Radkowitsch (University of Flensburg)
  • Phillippe van Basshuysen (University of Hannover)

We are generally looking for ambitious early-career scholars with an independent research project roughly related to the topics of this workshop (see above). We seek to be as inclusive as possible towards scholars from all geographies and especially encourage applications from outside Europe and North America. We offer financial support for travel and accomodation for scholars that do not have institutional financial support, and strive towards ensuring a generous timeline to settle visa affairs.
